"I take something that exists in the world around me and then explore ways of expressing my relationship with it through my own visual language. Removing figurative references enables me to investigate the visual poetry created by colour and form used in an abstract manner. The use of seemingly repetitive shapes, spaces and lines in combination with certain colours can create calm or chaos, order or disorder."
