Toni Davey is currently showing a beautifully curated series of work in ‘Design for Life: Art and Architecture- Part 1’, until 2nd July 2023 at Hestercombe Gallery, Taunton. The exhibition "visually explores the historical intersection of art and architecture together with the interactions of artists and architects from the past 65 years".
“I feel honoured and humbled to have been invited to exhibit a body of work at Hestercombe Gallery alongside many of my heroes. Artists showing include Bridget Riley, Christo, Michael Craig Martin, Andreas Gursky and the architect Le Corbusier. The Ronchamp Chapel in France by Le Corbusier was one of my earliest influences as young artist. I was fascinated by how the angled windows carved through the thick walls manipulated the light source creating a visual epiphany. I never thought that I would, one day share images on an exhibition flyer with the great architect himself." Toni Davey
Works included in this show are available to purchase through Close.
