Helen Barff shortlisted for the First Plinth Royal College of Sculptors award

CLOSE artist Helen Barff, who recently showed a new sculpture at London's Foundling Museum, was shortlisted for the prestigious 'First Plinth Award' for the Royal Society of Sculptors. Helen's entry, based on the theme of the competition 'Parade', featured moving pieces based on her interpretation of a 'Nowhere parade'. The sculptures focus on those who are in limbo; migrants, refugees and those without a secure home. In addition to Helen's sculptures the proposed project included giving a voice and legacy to those without one through a series of audio interviews.
