Artist Helen Barff discusses the processes and themes behind her exhibition ‘I Wrap My Fear Around Me Like A Blanket’ alongside artists and experts in front of an audience at Taunton Brewhouse, Somerset on 28 Sept 2022.
Joined by sculptor / performer artist Julie Brixey-Williams and Irena Shmatova, a Ukrainian artist, who will present their work. After an interval the artists are joined by experts from other disciplines including historian Andrew Powell-Thomas who has extensive local WWII knowledge and Neuro-psychologist Professor Catherine Loveday who specialises in autobiographical memory. Together with chair Freeny Yianni, Creative Director of Close Ltd, the cross disciplinary panel and audience discuss themes of seeking refuge and safe spaces.
